아래와 같이 Neuron 시스템의 11월 예방정비를 공지하여 드립니다.

(Nurion 시스템은 11월 예방정비를 진행하지 않습니다.)

o 정비 기간

 - 2023년 11월 8일 09:00 ~ 24:00(15시간)

o 정비 작업 내역

 - 시스템 안정성 향상을 위한 인프라/계산노드 재기동

 - 하드웨어 점검 및 펌웨어 업그레이드

 - 스토리지 SW 업그레이드

 - JupyterHub 서버 안정성을 위한 재기동

* 퍼지정책(15일동안 접근하지 않은 파일은 자동 삭제함) 에 따라 삭제된 파일의 복구는 기본적으로 불가능 하나 

   파일 관리를 잊은 사용자에게 유예기간을 제공하기 위해 퍼지 정책을 일부 변경합니다. (2023.05. 시행)  

   1) 퍼지 수행 후 대상이 되는 파일은 앞에 접두사(ToBeDelete_)가 붙게 됩니다. 예) ToBeDelete_file1.txt, ToBeDelete_file2.txt

       - 대상 파일이 필요한 경우 사용자는 직접 접두사가 붙은 파일명을 복구시키고 atime을 업데이트해야 합니다.

   2) 일정기간(20일~30일) 후 ToBeDelete_붙은 파일은 일괄 삭제 됩니다. 이후 해당파일은 복구가 불가능합니다.

Dear users,

The Supercomputing Infrastructure Center will perform Preventive Maintenance(PM) of Neuron system in November, 2023 as follows.

(Preventive maintenance is not performed on Nurion system in November, 2023.)

o PM Time Window

 - 8. November 09:00 ~ 24:00(15H)

o PM Task Lists

 - Power recycle of all infrastructure and computing nodes to improve system stability

 - Hardware inspection/firmware upgrade

 - Storage SW upgrade

 - Power recycle of JupyterHub node to improve system stability

* It is basically impossible to recover deleted files according to the purge policy (Files that have not been accessed for 15 days are automatically deleted).

   We're making some changes to our purge policy to give users a grace period for forgetting to manage their files. (Applied in 2023.05.)

   1) After purging, the target file is prefixed with ToBeDelete_. Ex) ToBeDelete_file1.txt, ToBeDelete_file2.txt

       - If target file is needed, user must directly recover prefixed filename and update atime.

   2) After a certain period of time (20 to 30 days), files with ToBeDelete_ are deleted. After that, the file cannot be recovered.
