-- Who do you think is the first Korean writer who presentated his research paper to PubMed, which provides global medical science and biological science area¡¯s bibliography information service? How many researchers in Korea have submitted their research paper about our country¡¯s technologies, equipment, and ideas in an authoritative journal? Many researchers who have presented a research paper have thought about this at least once. To which research paper should I contribute? Which journal has contributedmost these days? K-PUBS is devoted to solving these kinds of curious questions about the areas of medical and life science. K-PUBS provides services such as giving the statistics of our nation¡¯s research presentations as well as other various statistics through http://www.kisti.re.kr/kpubs, which is updated daily.
-- K-PUBS literature-cited information analysis service is a service provided by the National Center for Biotechnology Information in the U.S. National Library of Medicine. With PubMed, they improve service through mining reference data based on the first Korean writer¡¯s information. This service began on April 17, 2008 and was officially adopted by us on May 8, 2008.
-- With K-PUBS, it is possible to search for research papers over the Internet in real-time by date, author, journal, and Impact Factor, or IF. It also provides an analysis of all the currently available data. When each research institution or university proposes their information analysis, they are instructed to provide a detailed status of the presentation and statistical information with electronic document on a report form available for free.
-- K-PUBS service is a service that will be developed in the future to serve as a base of various service modules. K-PUBS is also planning to add more reference analysis tools, in addition to the two that it currently has, in 2008. Based on the analysis toolsthat we have now, we have formulated three goals. These goals are to prepare the research achievement statistic research and analysis index, encourage progress, and enclose technology¡¯s interchange and utilization. We feel that this can be done by contributing to our infrastructure¡¯s enlargement through attempting to promote the development of a base on which a substantial national cooperative research network can be built. |
