The Structures & Solid
Mechanics team is mainly interested
in the high-performance, and large-scale
finite element analysis technique.
Finite element method is the most
important numerical tool for researchers
of the structures and solid mechanics
field. The goal of this team is to
provide the researchers of this field
with an efficient and scalable numerical
tool to realize high-performance and
large-scale finite element analysis.
Currently, we are developing a high-performance
domain-wise parallel sparse direct
solver for large-scale finite element
analysis. This research is expected
to help researchers who use finite
element method as their main numerical
tool expand their research capabilities
in computation by providing the ability
to utilize more computing power more
efficiently.
