-- Climate models must include representations of the atmosphere, ocean, sea ice, and land surface, and these models can be improved by improving representation of processes and by increasing resolution if the computing resources are available. Because the atmosphere is the core component in climate system, climate modeling team in KISTI has been developing a high-resolution atmospheric general circulation model since 2001. They are trying to develop the 0.5 deg.(lat.) by 0.5 deg.(lon.) high-resolution model for providing the climate modeling communities in Korea with the improved core component model of the climate system model.
Parallel implementation and scientific visualization of the model output data are also in their interests.

-- The similarity between the Big- and Little- Brothers is striking and supported by a high correlation coefficient of more than 0.99 and Little Brothers regenerate well the spatial variance of the stationary wave.

-- The small-scale stationary component of SLP reflects the impact of the local mountain-induced ridge and trough. The agreement between the Big- and Little- Brother is good again with R >= 0.96.

-- The fields exhibit a high level of similarity ( R>=0.99) and Little Brothers regenerate well the spatial variance of the stationary wave.

-- The agreement between the Big- and Little- Brother is good again with R >= 0.94, but J10 and J20 have somewhat less variance ratios.
